The One Page Business Plan

Typically a “business plan” or “pitch-deck” introduces an organization (for-profit or not) including its legal structure, leadership, organization, operations, and financials. This type of detailed plan — complete with supporting spreadsheets, charts, and graphs — is used to attract investors, donors, or partners, among other things.

Horan’s The One Page Business Plan is about creating what I would call a “vision & action plan” or a “strategic plan” as his plans include just five sections (and not one financial projection, budget, etc.):

  • Vision
  • Mission
  • Objectives
  • Strategies
  • Actions

But it matters not what it is titled or called!

It is a great step-by-step fill-in-the-blanks planning workbook chock-full of clearly articulated questions, insights, and advice from a Fortune 500 senior financial executive turned entrepreneur, and a very successful one at that.

Planning is a process…not an event! One Page Plans are living, changing, evolving documents.
