Global Recognition

The Olympic Games 2024 opened in Paris today.

There are very few logos that in and of themselves stand as universally recognizable symbols, and this is one of them. The Olympics rings were introduced in 1913 and made their debut at the 1920 games in Antwerp, Belgium. There is one ring per continent: Africa, Asia, the Americas, Europe and Oceana. All five are interconnected, communicating how the games bring the world together to celebrate athletic excellence.
